Peter M. McCracken
About Peter M. McCracken
Peter has worked in real estate for the past 27 years. A graduate of The University of Florida in business administration and accounting, he began his career in real estate soon after graduation and has loved it ever since. Peter places importance on finding the right homes for his customers, especially when inventory is very low. In 2010 he was credited with the highest sale to date on Shelter Island. Coming from a family of designers and builders, it is of no coincidence that Peter is in the real estate business. Peter has purchased several homes and condominiums which he designed and decorated himself. Residing on Shelter Island and Palm Beach, FL in the winter, Peter has a broad reach with other Corcoran agent both in the Hamptons and Palm Beach. Peter and his family grew up sailing around the Northeast and the Bahamas and raced during the Abaco Race Week and is a member of the Palm Beach Yacht Club. He still enjoys the Wednesday night races off Dering Harbor during the summer.

Involved in many community activities, he is currently on the Board of Directors for the Greater New York Chapter of the American Red Cross, Chairman for the town of Shelter Island Emergency Medical Services and sits on the town of Shelter Island Board of Assessment Review. Originally from Old Westbury and Southampton, NY, Peter is single and has family in Savannah, GA and Vero Beach, FL.
