Originally from the Baltimore, MD area, Ruth worked in Washington, D.C. before venturing off to California to attend business school at UCLA. Returning to Manhattan after graduation, she worked in finance for 15 years - first for Citigroup and then for JP Morgan Chase, in both cases as managing director in global loan syndication.
