Derek Markovic knows and loves the Westhampton Beach area where he lives and works. Born in NYC, Derek grew up and attended high school in the area, then went on to graduate from Fordham University with a BS degree in Marketing. He previously lived in New York City and the North Shore of Long Island as well, but could not resist returning to his hometown, the Hamptons. This lifelong entrepreneur has been involved in many businesses, most recently in a quick-service food startup in Manhattan. His business sense, negotiating and marketing skills, and intimate knowledge of the Westhampton Beach area made him extremely well suited for his role as a full-time dedicated agent. Derek is a member of the Long Island Board of Realtors and Congress for New Urbanism. He is a very effective communicator and networker with great interpersonal savvy. As much as meeting people, Derek thrives on making deals. “Figuring out how to make a deal work and a client happy is stimulating and enjoyable for me. I enjoy helping people, and that, more than selling or renting properties, is what motivates me every day.”

A specialist in rentals and sales west of Shinnecock Canal is Derek’s focus, though nothing in the Hamptons is beyond his purview. His passion for the area drives his desire to help his clients feel the same way in a home they love. For fun, Derek likes to partake in winter sports, take advantage of the beach and ride motorcycles. He is conversant in French, and can often be seen strolling his neighborhood with his Pit Bull at his side.
